Teacher Fred and the rebellious teenager Adam could hardly be more different. Whilst Fred clings to her increasingly precarious but orderly life, Adam is trying at all costs to escape his past of care homes, school expulsions and youth detention. A rehabilitation programme brings the two of them together on the Way of St James to Santiago de Compostela. Amidst arguments, silences and unexpected twists, they are forced to face up to their problems.
